Default Microcosmic Orbit meditation

Ok you might probably know this already, but some people might not, and it's a great energy raising/balancing technique and just an absolute essential for beginners and experienced meditators alike.. I've been doing this meditation technique for 15 years now.. it has been immensely helpful.

These are the points you should focus on, note that it is not necessary to meditate on the leg chakras as they are only used for extra grounding, and skipping them will maintain greater energy concentration.. So you start from your navel and go downwards, around your base chakra (perineum) up your spine, around your head, through your tongue (which is touching the top of your mouth, you will feel energy sparkles here now) down through your throat and back to the navel. This will complete one full microcosmic orbit. The goal is to do the whole upwards path during your inhale and the downwards path during your exhale.

This meditation is called microcosmic because it returns the body's energy (chi) flow to its original embryonic state which is considered to be a highly spiritual state.. In more simple terms it returns the energy flow to a more balanced state, cleanses up your chakra entryways and it's just great.. try it!

Actually I believe this is the macro cosmic orbit, the microcosmic doesn't include the legs I think. Feel free to correct if I'm wrong.

I do a shortened meathod when breathing. Start at the root of spine or coccyx, "push" yang energy up over the head and back down into the lower dantien. Then I start over again, only this time I "gently flow" yin energy. Your right, this is a great technique, and I am very proud to say that its taoist
