Default Brightening up astral focus

I'm in the process of redesigning Astral focus, after popular demand, to a brighter colour palette. The new look will be really white and bright!

I'm almost finished, but before I upload everything I wanted to ask if anybody has any ideas about the top sections. Some of the links there have become redundant and I'm wondering whether to keep them for future additions or completely scrap them. The connect button was meant as an introduction to what we are doing here but I guess the front page does that fine so maybe it could just direct to the front page. The practice button was meant for us to post various meditation techniques but I guess that's not necessary as we can do that on the forum? What ya think?

xx

I am cool with both those suggestions...

Also the member's pages aren't really being used at the moment. There has been a lot of talk about making them an article - blog format, maybe that's a good idea?

Anyone who is interested, we can set up an "author" account, and their articles will be posted blog-style to the member's page? Or maybe it needs a different name, like "Articles" or some such?

Yea I like the idea of having an article section... that would merge the existing members and practice sections into one. And there was some interest from people to post articles seperate from the forum. How would this work though? I mean will it be with the same homepages app?

I just got done rewriting and revising an article. Ive sent a few others to Sash for his site, but nothing too special. I really like the recent one I did, but it so far hasn't got much attention. Otherwise I plan on writing a long tuturial in mostly energy practices soon concerning what I know. If you put up an article section I could post it here, but I dont know how long it will take me.

The article section will replace the members pages, which I think are a gimmick at best... but if people think they're still worth it we can keep them.

To post an article, the author would have to go to the articles section, log on, then click a link to "post new article"

I can set up authors, editors and publishers, or just make everyone a publisher...

The difference is, authors can write an article, but are unable to see other people's articles or edit them. Editors can read any article, make any changes necessary but are unable to publish. The publisher can do all that as well as publish an article to the public. If everyone was made publisher we'd have to trust that people only made changes to their own articles.

;D Nice to know the appearance will chane, because I feel get lost when navigate and rather difficult to read the topics. I think the easy use and simple interface should be to reach more visitor. However, this site's graphic design is superp (I love the design) and maybe it will be sacrified a little to get brighter and easier using.

BTW, could you just place an small donate button there? For a long time, maybe it useful? When I come here, I couldn't find that button. A few bucks a person can help the site little more and encourage the existence of site.

Thank you.. ;D

All wonderful ideas. I look forward to the new. Sorry I've been absent. The cosmos is throwing more busy than ever right now and with surgery fast approaching, I'm swamped. But I care and think of you all daily.

That sounds good Alex, and I would think that any potential problems (accidental for example) could be solved by making sure to have a back up copy saved.

P.S. I really do like the colors now, but trust Atom's genius to surprise me with something I'll like more Good job man!

Regarding the paypal button, I don't think we ever worked out how such a thing would be implimented.

One idea I came up with was the option for any member to add a button to their profile so people can easily give money to anyone they choose.
