Default Hail!

Hey everyone, this is me saying hi!

So a little about me; I am definitely spiritual though I don't follow any particular path or religion. I read all I can when it comes to religious texts however, taking inspiration as it comes. What I find is always synonymous across all spiritual paths and it is my belief that existence will never be defined because words cant map existence or feelings. Therefore I believe that all logic is true and false at the same time. The experience of consciousness in my eyes is the only true form of the divine. Consciousness is the only thing we have coming into this world so it must be the tool to communicate with the divine if that kind of communication is real. Language is a product of thought and in my mind thought is reality, not language.

Yet at the same time.... language is just as important to spirituality as anything else for it could not exist without the divine.

The reason, I believe logic always runs in circles when trying to define existence is because existence involves living. You cant read about how great a watermelon tastes, you have to live it.

anyways, ive been keeping a small record of my inspirations at my blog on chill-fu.net so check it out if you get a chance.

Hello.

I enjoyed reading some of your thoughts here and on your site, I will check out more of your blog later. I actually felt curious to know more about you since your intro post has a lot of spiritual energy in it but not that much intro about 'you'. Perhaps I notice this because I've been reading an article this week that writes how we overindulge in the logical facts of name, gender, lifestyle ect. and undervalue the spiritual truth a person has to offer. Hence people become focused towards the material Self and away from the soul. Interestingly, the article proposed a new type of 'personal detail' be our spiritual experience rather than our physical qualities and descriptions. Hence perhaps this would sometime in the future be the focus of coversations rather than "How was your day?" ect., and remarkably I see this higher level of communication in your intro post. Anyway, that's my AstralFocus thought-of-the-day, along with my reply that it's good to have you on these forums. Hope you enjoy your time here.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I try to think that my idea of self as something unattached from name or any kind of label created utilizing language, but I still respond to anyone referring to me at "Matt".

A little more about me:

grew up in a small town, graduated HS with 26 other kids. Lived my life partaking in activities in the big city. My parents made sure I wasnt ignorant to the world surrounding our little small town and I really appreciate the attempt they made. Because of them I was exposed to a lot. My family was always spiritual, but never ritualistic in their ways. If any religious label is appropriate it would probably be Christianity.

I however choose not to follow or worship any label. I take my inspiration from all sources and attempt to apply it to what I already know of the divine through my own experience.

For now though I am a 20 year old male living in Colorado, pursuing a career in the IT industry, trying to find a girl I can appreciate to help fill the gap of purpose.

My goal if the previous falls through (the girl) is to pick myself up one day when the right motivation strikes me and just walk this earth with what I can fit on my back. Maybe there will be people who join me, maybe there wont. Maybe ill be alone sometimes and surrounded by friends at others, but thats life for you so all I can do is keep walking.

Hey thanks for sharing...

I'm an IT guy too, and I grew up in a small town (20000 people), Lived in the city for a while... And often dream of getting away from it all!

I never thought I'd find someone to share my dreams with, but things like this happen when you least expect it... I never could have imagined I would have a wife and daughter, and people to share my ups and downs with, but it happened, and it's going to happen to you too, if it's what you really want.

Hi magari sorry for the belated reply... just wanted to say welcome and that I agree with every single word you've said! Language is merely a product of our physical interaction in this world.. and as a system it doesn't really do a good job of translating our thoughts feelings etc... if only everyone could communicate in NVC (non-verbal communication) the world would be such a better a place.. It's gonna happen one day I'm sure.
Can't wait to hear more of your insights!

I wish you all the best.
