**IMPORTANT** Replies with "Thanks" or "OK" or other short responses

Hello

I'd just like to make a short note regarding informal and short responses to posts. Often it makes sense to say "thank you" or give another form of acknowledgment to a person after they have written something in response to you. However posting again with nothing new to contribute except a short comment can often derail a topic.

Hence I would like to propose an alternative method to give short concise comments in response to particular posts. You will notice in each post there is an "R" reputation button in the top-right hand corner. This will allow short positive or negative remarks to a particular post without requiring an entirely new post. This remark will also increase (or decrease if negative) the amount of points a person has under their username.
